Question 1

What is BIN Moving?

Accepted Answer

BIN Moving is a reusable moving bin rental service serving Clay County and surrounding areas. Instead of buying, assembling, taping, and disposing of cardboard boxes, we deliver durable reusable moving bins directly to your home. You pack, move, and unpack—and then we come back and pick them up. Moving has never BIN easier.

Question 2

How does BIN Moving work?

Accepted Answer

Choose the BIN package that best fits your move and reserve your preferred delivery date. We deliver the bins to your front door or just inside your garage. You have them for one week to pack, move, and unpack. At the end of your rental, simply clean, close, stack, and place the bins in a secure, covered location for pickup.

Question 3

How long do I get to keep the bins?

Accepted Answer

All standard packages include a one-week rental. Rentals run Friday-to-Friday or Saturday-to-Saturday.

Question 4

What happens if my delivery or pickup falls on a holiday?

Accepted Answer

If your scheduled delivery or pickup falls on a holiday when BIN Moving is not operating, your service will be extended to the next business day at no additional charge.

Question 5

Do I need to be home for delivery or pickup?

Accepted Answer

Not necessarily. As long as we have access to the agreed-upon delivery or pickup location, you do not need to be present. We'll contact you approximately 24 hours before pickup to confirm your 2-hour pickup window.

Question 6

Where will you leave my bins?

Accepted Answer

Bins are delivered to your front door or may be placed just inside an accessible garage. For safety and liability reasons, BIN Moving does not enter the residence or carry rental equipment inside your home.

Question 7

Where do I leave the bins for pickup?

Accepted Answer

All bins must be empty, clean, closed, stacked, and placed in a secure, covered, easily accessible location. We do not enter residences to retrieve bins. An accessible garage may also be used when arrangements have been made with us.

Question 8

How clean do the bins need to be when I return them?

Accepted Answer

Normal dust and minor marks from moving are expected. However, bins must be emptied and reasonably clean, with trash, food, liquids, tape, stickers, packing materials, and residue removed. Equipment returned excessively dirty, contaminated, stained, sticky, or odorous will be subject to a $100 cleaning and disinfecting fee.

Question 9

Are the bins clean when they arrive?

Accepted Answer

Yes. BIN Moving prepares rental bins between customers so they arrive clean and ready for your belongings.

Question 10

How much can one BIN hold?

Accepted Answer

A reusable moving bin can replace several smaller cardboard boxes, depending on what you're packing. One bin might hold a stack of folded clothing, several pairs of jeans, towels and linens, toys, dishes, pantry items, books, or a combination of smaller household belongings. Heavy items should be spread among multiple bins rather than packed into one extremely heavy bin.

Question 11

How many bins will I need?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the size of your home and how much you own. Our packages provide recommendations based on typical home sizes, but every move is different. Minimalists may need fewer, while larger families, collectors, or heavily furnished homes may need more.

Question 12

What if I order too few bins?

Accepted Answer

Contact us as soon as you realize you need more. If additional bins are available, we can help you add to your rental. Additional delivery charges may apply if a separate trip is required.

Question 13

Do the bins come with dollies?

Accepted Answer

Select BIN Moving packages include a rolling tote dolly to make moving multiple stacked bins easier. Your package description will show exactly how many dollies are included.

Question 14

Can I stack the bins?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The bins are designed to stack securely when the lids are properly closed. Always use reasonable care when stacking and avoid creating an unstable or excessively heavy stack.

Question 15

Do I need packing tape?

Accepted Answer

No tape is required to assemble or close our bins. That's one of the best parts—no building boxes and no fighting with rolls of packing tape.

Question 16

Can I write on the bins?

Accepted Answer

Please do not use permanent markers, paint, stickers, tape, or anything that could leave residue or damage the bins. Each BIN will come with its own reusable labeling card, making it easy to identify the room or contents without marking the bin itself.

Question 17

Can I use the bins for food or liquids?

Accepted Answer

Sealed, dry pantry goods are fine. Loose liquids, leaking containers, wet food, chemicals, paint, fuel, hazardous materials, animal waste, or anything that could stain, contaminate, or create a persistent odor in the bins is prohibited.

Question 18

What happens if a bin or dolly is damaged or lost?

Accepted Answer

Normal wear and tear is expected. Customers may be charged the current replacement cost for equipment that is lost, stolen, missing, intentionally damaged, contaminated, altered, or damaged beyond normal moving use.

Question 19

What if I need the bins longer than one week?

Accepted Answer

Contact us before your scheduled pickup date. Extensions may be available for an additional fee but are subject to availability because your bins may already be reserved for another customer.

Question 20

What if I'm not ready when you arrive for pickup?

Accepted Answer

Please contact us as soon as possible. If bins aren't ready or accessible during your confirmed pickup window, an additional trip and/or rental extension fee may apply.

Question 21

Can you come inside and help me move the bins?

Accepted Answer

No. BIN Moving is an equipment rental and delivery service, not a moving labor service. We deliver to the front door or just inside an accessible garage and do not enter customers' residences.

Question 22

Can I take the bins to my new house?

Accepted Answer

Yes—that's what they're for! Pack your bins, move them to your new home, unpack, and have them ready for pickup at the address provided to BIN Moving. If your pickup address will be different from your delivery address, make sure we have the new pickup address in advance.

Question 23

Do you actually move my belongings?

Accepted Answer

No. BIN Moving provides the reusable bins and related rental equipment. You or your moving company are responsible for packing and transporting your belongings.

Question 24

Why use BIN Moving instead of cardboard boxes?

Accepted Answer

Reusable bins eliminate much of the hassle associated with cardboard. There's no box assembly, no tape required to close them, less cardboard waste, convenient stacking, durable construction, delivery, and pickup. When the move is over, you don't have a garage full of flattened boxes to deal with.

Question 25

What areas do you serve?

Accepted Answer

BIN Moving serves Clay County and surrounding areas. Customers outside our standard service area can contact us to see whether delivery is available to their location.

Question 26

How far in advance should I reserve my bins?

Accepted Answer

We recommend reserving as soon as you know your moving dates, particularly for Fridays and Saturdays. Inventory is limited, and popular moving weekends may sell out. We recommend at least a week in advance to ensure availability.

Question 27

Can I cancel or change my reservation?

Accepted Answer

We understand that moving plans can change! Cancellations must be made at least 3 days prior to your scheduled delivery date to avoid a cancellation fee. Cancellations made less than 3 days before your scheduled delivery will be subject to a $45 cancellation fee.To cancel or make changes to your reservation, please contact BIN Moving as soon as possible by email.
